hello there severums and top swiming fishes work well no other bottom dwellers and try to keep it to one thread and post man it makes it hard to read

Wait before you think about a 60-80 gallon think about the fish your interested in because I have found out from this site that getting a killer deal on a 55 wasn't as good as I thought It would have been. I would look in the region of 100 gallons and up for real monsters. If your getting bichir as you said I would get at least a 120 because you won't be able to just keep one they are very addictive.
Good Luck and Welcome 2 /V\FK

:iagree:

However in an 80g IMO a couple senegals would be VERY comfortable.

As far as tank mates.... Id say different bichir if you can get your hands on them. If not mine seems to get along well with the two pictus cats in the tank.

A good amount of hiding places (driftwood, rocks, etc) would look nice and be beneficial to the bichirs. You could get a delhezi and some of the other smaller bichirs as well for tankmates. Get plants too. They look nice.
