in front of my cichla tank,IL
i got a nice used octagon tank for $15 at the kankakee fairground. in good condition. i was wondering how many gallons is it i got the dimensions of it. its an oceanic tank

those tanks workout to somewhere between 35-45 gallons i believe.

their tricky to calculate their volume, however im sure someone here knows the formula for it.

those tanks do look good with small schooling fish, or a pair of small fish with a bunch of tall plants
 
yeah thanks i found a website to calculate volume and kinda came out to be around 43ish gallons i think.
i was thinking about using it for a nice saltwater setup with a bunch out live rock in the middle stacked up or on the back. and some nice bright colored s.w. fish

That! is exactly what I would do. Good deal on it as well. Did it come with a stand ?

no it didnt come with a stand but i have allready designed a canopy and stand for it on google setch up

Yeah... around 30-40g...sir, it is Hexagon not octagon... :)

yeah i know i posted it fast and wasnt paying attention i mwas gonna change it but forgot about it lol

i was at the lfs and it turns out its a 42gallon hex cuz i asked about a stand for an ocieanic hex and gave them the dimensions.
