I live in ohio and my buttikoferi is normally in a pond in the summer.but now it is cold so now it is in a 40 tall.I kno this is not a good tank size so i want to get it a 40 long till the summer comes.the thing is for filtration i want a magnum 350 pro,and then add a ac 200 on the tank also.would this be good filtration......for subtrate i want to use sand but i heard when u have sand it is always cloudy. Is it that bad that if a fish moves slightly the sand clouds the tank?

Just one fish? (probably)

What size? (about 8"-10")

Did I guess right, I'm still fine tuning my crystal ball...:D .

That filtering should be fine, just so you can keep good water movement on the bottom.

Use a heavier (more course) sand, like pool filter sand and it won't cloud-up if the fish just swims by it.

I used pea sized gravel, and my Tilapia loved to move it around.

yea it is 8 inches.How did u kno:confused: so where do i get pool filter sand.Also should i get a powerhead,that is 300 gph.
