Ok finally, I got some money together to get a new tank that I was writing about few months ago.

My main issue is, I want to replace my 4ft tank, because I purchased it second hand 7 months ago, and now would like to get a BRAND new tank from a person I know who makes them.

My problems:

1. SPACE: I live in an apartment and therefore can't go to big.

2. Should I get 4x2x2 or 5x2x2?

3. My current stocking is a flowerhorn, and was interested in owning an Oscar of the same size as my Flowerhorn.

Please advise. Thanks guys.

Get a 125 gallon 6 footer I live in a one bedroom with 160 gallon.

get a 6 footer. if you are going to keep an oscar with a flowerhorn you will need a 125 gallon. I imagine that the longer footprint will help the fish avoid each other if needed. Id imagine there would be no problems moving it, if put vertically it should fit through any apartment. just get a few buddies to help.

Thank you for the advise mate, but space is a big issues for me, I could fit a 6footer, but what im afraid of is... the LEAK.. I live in an apartment right and I was literally shaking when I purchased a second hand tank (I resealed it again myself).

So this time I decided I should buy a BRAND new tank to at least not worry about leaks as much, the tank will be on carpet to and im on the 4th floor.... 5x2x2 was my target for 1 flowerhorn and oscar, and Im going to get the oscar big, cause my FH is like 16 cm already. I honestly love oscars and flowerhorns.... and ive always wanted an oscar as much as flowerhorns... so I didn't want to sell my flowerhorn that I raised for almost a year.

I under-estimated EVERYONE ON MFK...they all said "Keep this fish alone, OR with aggro fish its own size..." and I was like "psssh he'll be fine"....ended up killing 3 of my smaller fish (which was stupid to put in with him i know).

The next advise I got was "instead of getting ONE oscar, get TWO oscars and 1FH, that way he cant just go pick on ONE fish...what do you guys think of this? IF i get a 5x2x2 (130 gallons with VERY good filtration) can i keep 2 oscars and 1 flowerhorn?

^^ Yeah your probably right bro.... well I guess if i can't get more fish, ill just buy a brand new 4x1x1.5 like I have now, just replace the old tank wit a new one... no point in getting a bigger tank for the same fish

Got space for two tanks? Keep the flowerhorn in existing tank and buy new tank for an oscar?

Nope bro i don't :( Actually I have a 3 ft tank in the living room.... and there is space there to put a 5x2x2 tank easily... but then id have to buy two tanks :/ PLUS the living room tank has community fish in it such as (rainbow shark x1, Jewel Cichlids x2, clown loaches x2 and Lepord Pleco x1 (all young still)....

So if I chose to remove that tank, I would need two tanks... one for my flowerhorn (ill just replace the old one and get another exactly the same size) and the other for my living room.... 5x2x2 .... will cost me around like almost $800 total....

But can oscars live with the fish i have stated above?

I feel ya, when it comes to leaks.. I recently lost a measly 10 gallon feeder tank while i was at work and water was pouring from my ceiling downstairs. Cant help but worry about my 125 second hand tank

^^ Yeah bro, no way in hell I want to keep this much longer. Wanna know whats funny?

When I got this tank, it was my first big tank... (well for me it was big)... the dude told me he had it for 1 year.... and me being the typical noob got it.... when I put my hands in the tank, I felt the silicone was lose, BUT the tank was filled with water perfectly fine no leaks...sO i got it home, resealed...

Then when I was talking to this guy who makes new tanks, I told him...and he said "MAAATE, there is no way in hell, that tank was 1 year old...NO WAY, silicone will only become LOSE, when a tank is at least 5 years + old"

And I felt like an idiot.
