Started setting up my new tank today 84x26x24, so far I've only tested the led system and drilled the holes for 2 fx5s to connect to the hardpipe intake and spraybar I've made (proper phtotos tomorrow)

I was going to go for 4 aqua fx tubes but from testing it looks like 3 will do fine, not brought the system for all the fancy features really just for the daybreak/lunch and sunset programs and upon first trial they are awesome :nilly:

Tank was made by my lfs as was the dark stained pine stand and open top tall hood (no pics until tomorrow)

The intake and spray bar are just made out of 25mm upvc, with the strainers made from 25mm drilled pipe with a cap at the end but on 90 degree elbows...... my thinking is a few 90 degree bends and also the spray bar will help me calm the flow a little.

Stock for the tank is my 2 oscars, a texas and 4 golden tinfoil barbs that have all grew the first year of their lives in my 450 litre growout tank..... they are getting big so will no doubt love the extra room and filtration.

All I have for now is a few low quality blackberry pics :irked: Lots of good pics and updates tomorrow though.......:naughty:

Ps: lights and background are only tacked on to see how well they worked :)

All went well with the move apart from the black tiger oscar who upon netting went mad (he is the tank boss) and has lost a fare few scales. I treated the tank with a full dose of stress coat anyway but no doubt he'll be fine, think I need to try some new catch methods next time like the t shirt method I read about on here
