New tank

Hi i have just ordered myself a new tank 84inch x 30 high and 24 wide im thinking of keeping a small ray init with maybe a arowana. Can anybody advise me if this is a good idea? what could i keep in this size tank? Thanks si

I've definatly seen rays and arrowans in smaller tanks then that. Not sure on specific types ill let the experts chim in there.

i wouldn't recommend an arowanna in a tank that wide, i potential three foot fish in a tank 1 foot to small for it isn't good. i'm not sure on the ray though

Most rays will out grow that tank fairly quick because they get so wide. Look into brazil hystrix they stay smaller. Orherwise most rays will reach 16" wide fairly quickly
