New tank ?

I just bought a new tank from LFS and reef ready was not on sale.. since new factory glass tanks seem to be tempered, drilling is out of question .
I want to connect my tank to my auto drip system , does anyone have success using HOB over flow units for just their drip systems ?

I use an HOB to run a drip system to another tank. A 1/8" tube is all I needed, but my second tank drained back to the first.

I just drilled a hole in the lid the right size to keep the tube in place, below the waterline on the clean side of the filter.

I hope that made sense. All you're doing is bypassing part of the filtered water to another tank or in your case down the drain.

I misunderstood the original posts. He's talking about a hang on the back drain.

It's not a hang on the back filter which is what I use.
