New texas!

Just picked this monster up today from Takinap (thanks dude!). He's a good 10" long, as almost as tall. He's now the biggest cichlid in the tank, and he's already establishing himself as the boss, and he's the first fish I've had in the tank that can push around my venezuelan pike female and get away with it.

I'm gonna keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't get too aggressive. But I think he's gorgeous! What do you think??

I think it's pretty sweet. I'm curious as to what you can do when a fish is too bossy? I've had a few problem fish but being all native I just put them back.

Yes it is. They've already had a few gill flaring contests. The texas won.

Well, my only recourse will probably be to rehome it to someone else, and if I can't do that, take it to the LFS and trade it in. I don't know what else to do if its overly aggressive.
