new thai silk/blue diamond

i purchased this little one from the lfs for $40 canadian as a "blue diamond". ive had it for approximately 6 weeks and has added prob a 3rd to its size. is approximately 3.5-4" without the tale. let me know what you think, male? female? i dont have enough flowerhorn experience to know for sure but thought $40 wasn't bad. these pictures dont really do the colours justice is a BRIGHT blue.

He has a nice shine on him, and he does have a rather short body. Probably still young really to tell for sure, But all around hes of pretty good quality and you got him for a hell of a price.
