thanx, so far they don't even know eachother exist...i like its pattern aswell...i may get another with the reg pattern aswell...

just noticed the first bit of agresstion...it was from the smaller and new tire track...it is maybe an inch to inch and a half smaller then the fire eel...the tt was swimming along and the fire went up to it...the eels lokked at eachother then the fire turned to look somewere else for what ever it is looking for most likly food it is a pig...then after the fire turned away the tt swam up and nipped it on the side...the fire took off to the other end of the tank...the tt gave chase, but lost interest half way across the tank...

could this be just establishing higher arcy or true dislike for the fire?

both.. ;) ... at this age.. I'de leave them and let them figure it out as long as no one gets seriousely injured if you plan on trying to keep them long-term. let them figure out the hierarchy now... or find out now if the TT will allow con-specific tank-mates. once they hit 12"+ it'll get worse. having the dominance pattern well established now "Might" allow them to co-habitate long-term.. But.. I wouldn't bet on it if he's already being aggressive.

no injurys...they ignore each other for the most part... sometimes i have seen the tt sitting in a look out position and the fire comes along on the hunt...the tt will just look at it for a few mins then sometimes randomly race over and give the fire a nip...no damage though...the tt also looks long and hard at my 4" SAL, but only looks then moves on...

it died...i noticed a anal fungus just after i got it, but it just got worse...then this morning the fungus looked bloody and it was dead this afternoon... my fire and lungfish didn't get it, just the TT
