Mine loves earthworms and frozen krill, along with black worms. Hes also starting to eat some NLS.

Why not put it in there now? Are there larger fish in the 125, and if so, what species and how big are they?

Mine ate market shrimp,bloodworms, and other frozen food. Till it got chomped on by my palmas polli that was 3" smaller both ended up dying.

I put shrimp in my tank and I am sure my fire eel is eating them because they keep MIA but they are for him to eat lol....

I have mine in a 110 now and he looks to be about the same size as yours as long as you do not have fish in there that would see him as food

Move it to the 125 when it is around 15+

havent posted on this thread in a while.

he is about 8in or so now in the 125g with a 3.5in TSN, a 6in BGK, and a male and female GT both about 5in.

edit:

and before anyone harps on me about it the TSN and BGK are both going in my pond when they are the right size. the 125g is not for life by any means.
and the TT will be moved as well for that matter

and just gonna say.. my TSN at that size ate my 5" baby Aba Aba knife with little issue. I'm not gonan harp about tank size.. i'm telling you the TSN will eat the eel before it outgrows the 125, or you are Very lucky..
