I have two new things in my setup, one I moved my tank to the back porch this back porch is not hooked up to the AC, but the tempeture in the room is no where as high as the tank is. The tank is 92 the heaters where set to 80, I don't know if this is because the acrylic is insulating better? or if the pump is heating the water to much, or if its because the room is already around 80 and the pump is heating it up past this point.

I have read post that say put a fan over the top of the tank to help with evaporation. Please let me know what you think.

The heat loss or accumulation by a tank is influenced strongly by the temperature difference between the tank internally and the surrounding room. Since the pumps and lights will contribute heat to the water, ideally, the surrounding air temp should be less than the temperature setting on the heater. Obviously, this is not true in your case. I have my tank in the garage and encounter the same problem during the Summer. So, you can do the following:

1. Turn off the lights.
2. Ventilate and shade the room.
3. Leave the top slightly open to ventilate the tank.
4. Turn the heater setting down 4-5 degrees below the desired tank temperature. This will allow the tank to cool off at night, giving it the capacity to absorb heat during the day without pushing it into the red zone.
5. Add ice daily or purchase a chiller.

is the heater still on? if yes.. then the heater is still heating and well.. problem solved..
is the pump hot or feel any warmer than the water.. if so... sounds like your pump having an issues..

if no... how long has it been like this? when you added water was it 90+ degrees?
does the tank get any direct sunlight?

Yesterday the tank was only about 88, I have 2 tanks each with different heaters and pumps and they are both hot. The acrylic tank is a little hotter, so I am thinking that the room is the problem. I will start opening the windows and trying putting the heaters on a lower setting. Thanks for your replys
