new to canisters

k I've neven used a canister before this might sound retarted but would I need to drill holes in my tank to do this

The canister should come with hoses and fittings to go over the top edge of the tank.. as asked above which canister/what model?

You could* use canisters in a drilled tank, but there is no need to. If your tank is not drilled do not worry, most people use the hoses on the back of the tank to do the plumbing.

I'm looking at an eheim pro 2 I know eheim is where it's at any one used pro2

NO you dant have to drill any holes all eheim canisters are exellent but i'd get a classic instead of a pro more simple and awesome
