Yesterday, I bought a couple Indos off a local here. They are about 4.5" to 5" long. Before I purchased I asked what they were eating. He fed them some MP before I left with them. This morning I tried dropping in some MP to no avail; no interest at all besides hiding. Too early to attempt to feed them? Or is it because of the larger fish as tankmates?

Thanks in advance!

What large tankmates and probably a combination of too soon and the tankmates?

Steve

Tankmates are a 20" silver arowana, 2x 8" oscars, 2x 13" ornate bichirs, 6" bp, and a 6" synodontis eup. There is no aggression besides bewtween the 2 ornates. I tried again a couple hours again with no interest. They are still really timid and shy.

How much days do I have before I should be worried?

As i said above its probably a bit soon as they are settling in but trying to compete with those tankmates, well i hope they come out and are confident because they have a job on lol.

Still no luck ;/. I'm wondering if I should set up the spare 20 gallon tank? Or give them a little more time in the main tank with the rest of the other fish

id say tank mates haha but the dats r a fair size so not sure if thats the whole issue, with larger dats its hrader to get them to mp if there stressed or dont eel like it, try not to feed feeders but dont let them go more than 1-2 weeks iwthout food

nearly every tiger fish I have had(excl baby ones) , once put in a new or temp tank, have always taken 1 week to 4 weeks before eating frozen foods. Even if the fish in the old tank was eating like a champ.... Once moved, it would
loose interest in food until it got used to it's new surroundings. I accept this as the norm with datnoid behaviour.
Of course there are exeptions, but rarely ime.
If the oscar or silver is attacking them, they may take longer before they eat. They r a safe size your IT. If your worried bout them starving, chuck in some river schrimp, then just be patient.
