Right, I'm considering adding a Datnoid to a tank that I'm about to finish setting up. I've had it sat empty for months after I sold off my smaller tanks.

The tank-
100g - L48"xH28"xW18"
It will have an Eheim 2217 filter and usual heating, lighting etc.
Sand substrate with a few pieces of bogwood

No other inhabitants in the tank yet, but I would like to have a few other fish in the tank, not 100% sure what yet however. I am considering a delhezi bichir though, not sure about what else.

Now for the questions-
What Datnoid species would be best suited to my tank?
Would I be better off with decor or no decor?
What other fish would you suggest with a Dat in my tank? I'm aiming for around 4-5 fish.

I do have the tank and I'm ordering the filter and heater tomorrow. But I'm still considering the fish. Other options are a Costan Rican Red Headed Midas, gulpers, rhom and a few other ideas.

Any input appreciated.

Full grown, ST and IT will not be able to be in that size tank. NGT may work but not if you want additional fish in there because they will max out around 14" and are more aggressive then other Dats.

NTT's and AT's only get about 12".

I would go for an NTT. It will do fine w/ a delhezi.
