I just started cycling my tank about 3 days ago and i only put the water conditioneer and i went to the pet store today and bought some stress zyme... on the instructions it said to put the stress zyme on the 1st, 7th, and 14th day of the cycling process... so i basically missed the first day... do i still put the stress zyme in the tank or should i leave it be thanks

3 things that I always tell my new fish keeping friends: when setting up the tank, install double volume filtration, use at least one canister and one internal for any standard setup. Then, as everyday stuff goes, frequent partial water change and no feeders from the petshop. That's really about it. Once your tank is cycled, and if you do at least twice 20% water change a week, you could really save your money on all those expensive test kits. Save those to the lazy ones that never do their maint. work.

you also want to find a conditioneer with a slime coat treatment, i always use one with bio from tetra, i'v found that bigger fish are more sensitive to change, babys or smaller fish seem to adapt easier
