Hey Everyone. Been many years since I had an account here at MFK. Several months ago I went on vacation for 2 weeks and my house sitter managed to kill my Jardini Arowana. My tank has been bare with 7 clown loaches and a 15" Armoed Bicher. I was at my favorite LFS and ran accross a 5-6 inch FH. I have been wanting to get a replacement for my Jardini and decided this was it.
I removed a bunch of rocks, removed my black sand and replaced with tan sand and some pea gravel. I was afraid the black sand with the black background would cause the fish to stay darker. I also have siliconed my heater and filter intakes and returns to the glass. Anything else you would suggest? I am picking the fish up tomorrow! I am a little concerned about the clown loaches and the Bicher and understand I may not be able to keep them with the FH. I will post some pictures once I get it home.
