i picked up a breeding pair of flowerhorns today.i need some info on then.first what is the best food to give them great color? also do you just need a flower pot in the tank or do i need other stuff? any thing else will help to thanks.

get a divider, let them get used to each other first, if not, theyl kill each other. the flower pot is for the female to lay eggs. ive heard chingmax is good food for flowerhorns, grand sumo, market rep prawns are good too. i only have a female right now, and i feed her hikari bio gold +, since she really dont need any expensive flowerhorn feeds. u do have a heater right? if not, you really need one, since they are tropical fish and needs warm water. so far, i think your good to go, hence that you have the regular stuff like filters, lights, etc.

cheers

The only thing i dont have is a divider.the male is about 5 in and the female is 2 in. They are not showing any aggressin to each other.I guess they breed 2 times before i got them.

im not sure.he said they bred 2 time and that the batchs were small because the female was.idk that what he said

well i ask headlessblade and he said thats a fine size at least i hope it is. other then that there doing great there staying very close to each other so i hope i have eggs in 1 to 3 weeks.
