if it was good looking and beautiful you should have bought it

anyways the most common type of FHs are
ZZ(zhen zhou)-
*most available kind of flower horn
*the hump grows lot smaller than the other strains
*has more defined flowerline unless its a C grade FH
*usual variants are red dragon and the green dragon
*as it grows larger the tail starts drooping
*has thicker lips than the other type
*the eyes stick out distinctly

kamfa
*get the larger humps
*the flower lines are less or not available at all
*has a stockier body than a ZZ
*the eyes don't stick out

kamalau
don't know much about this type

i think that should help you with the type part

best looking
i think you should be the judge of that

all FHs are quite hardy if you give them good living conditions such as good water quality, enuff space for it, good diet(no enhancing food please)
they grow quite fast
and i have read in a few sites that they grow to nearly 15" or so in size

one of mine grew from 1.5" - 8"+ in 6 months or so and he is still growing
if you have any other questions i will be glad to be of assistance
