I was needing an id on this flowerhorn I ran across at LFS?

very ugly and low grade zz. It looks like a very beginning stage of a FH from trimacs.

Thanks for the info. I've already got it I knew it was probably a low grade but got for cheap. Its about 11-12" and was stuck in a small tank at lfs. It had been there a pretty good while and I've kinda been curious about fh? So I figured I would give it a try.

Who cares if he is a low grade just as long as you like it, Good save. Look at my fh it was a low grade but i transformed him to A grade. But really its really if you like it or not maybe the LFS didn't take good care of him. But if you do he will look better for sure.

Hats off to you bro for saving the fish. Low or high grade no large fish deserves to live like that. You will find that FH are awesome fish to keep and will grow to be one of you fav fish.

I usually don't get fish without researching a little more but I think I can handle him just fine. I've had and still have several cichlids (Green Terrors, Jaguar, Oscars, Severums, Jack Dempsey) granted most not as aggressive as the FH but I'll manage.

How do you guys know it has FH in it?
