Hello all, new here, seems like tons of information I can't wait to get my hands on! I am getting a 90 Gallon tank, I would really like a Green Texas. I just wanted some input on current owners of the fish. What are some good pairings, good habitat setup?, diet? Any and all information is great! Thank you

As far as habitat and set up, try and stick with natural. The fish seem more comfortable and content with natural rocks, it also brings out their coloring the best IME. I used slate and big rocks to make caves for mine. My fish LOVE it. I would try and find a male and female Carpinitis, from different sources so they're not related. Also a school of giant danios, tiger barbs or silver dollars would work well. In a 90 gallon you're not going to really be able to house a lot of different fish, which is why I suggest just going with a pair.

There are several different variants of carpintis that come from different locations with different appearances. Try looking up carpintis- escondido, lahilla, chariel, vontehillo or Rio salto. There are others as well. I'd recommend you buy a group of six to eight fish and grow them out.
Search the vendors in the classified section, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
