So ive had this Crypt (red wendtii?) for like a month and Never took it out of the black pot... The roots were all tangled around it... Well, now it is sending out runners IN THE POT! I want it to spread around in the tank not the pot! What should i do? It has no c02 or fertilizers and a LARGE gravel bottom(large pebbles) if i decide to get it out of the pot, HOW SHOULD I GET IT OUT OF THE POT??? I dont want to ruin the roots!

It'll be fine. Just squeeze the pot all the way around so it smashes the roots, then grab all the leaves and pull away from pot, should come out like butter

Wouldnt that kill the plant if you smash the roots?

If it's one of those pots made up of black bands you can cut them away with scissors.

No I mean squeeze the plastic pot so the dirt compacts and doesn't spill everywhere and it makes it slide out. If you've ever planted anything that's how you get them out of pots and trays not to mention roots are supposed to be cut a little when transplanted......not deliberately smash the roots, is that even possible...?

How do I know I only got 2 giant ivy pothos sucking n03 out of my tank and filtering my water. Thus less wc.
