Started a 36g grow out today. I have 6 small clown loaches and after doing some forum reading I went with 10 tiger barbs for dithers.

Using dual over the back filters, a powerhead to create current and torpedo bay gravel for stingrays for a substrate. I added several tunnels for hiding spots.

I have blood worms, brine shrimp, and various flake and pelleted foods. I'll try adding some zucchini once a week for a treat.

Experienced loach keepers...am I missing anything? Excited to see how this turns out :)

The plan is to move them to a 55 next, then a 150 for the foreseeable future. I hear I have a lot of time for significant growth after 5 inches.

I have mine in a 5'x2'x2' 150 gallon. If you don't have the 150 already, I'd shoot for a 6' 180 gallon instead. My 150 works, but the extra foot would be nice. With that said, the 55 should probably last you a year and a half or so.
