Hello MFK family, I recently joined this site because I found that there are a lot of people here that know a lot about fish keeping, and more specifically, Monster Fish Keeping. I wanted to increase my knowledge about fish keeping even though I've raised fish for over ten years, but never at the serious level that I want to get myself into, and what better place to gain this knowledge than a site full of experienced people who seem to be experts on the subject. I was inspired to go monster after visiting a friend a couple of years ago that started raising cichla himself. I was so amazed to see such fish were available in the hobby here in Hawaii that I wanted to do that myself, so 6 months ago I started a peacock bass tank with two Kelberis. I recently added a mono and a temensis. It took some trial and error with the need for increased filtration, but I think I am finally able to keep my tank clean without much effort. I was also successful in pellet-training all of the p-bass. The only thing I need to do is hopefully convince my wife to get a bigger tank!
