Im setting up a freshwater sting ray tank these are some ideas, any help will appreciated thanks.



65 gallon AGA
filstar px2 caniister filter
heater with cover
carib sea sand


i was planning on keeping two motoro in here does the sound good?

I am not a stingray guru, but I believe 65 may be a bit small for the adults..can someone advise?
your right, a 65 is far too small for adults of even the smallest species, i would say the minimum for a small species like a retic would be a 180 gallon
 
would a 120 (48*24*24) work for a liitle bit i could i always do a pond down the road.

I am also NOT a ray guru...

However... I believe that longer is better for rays as it is for most fish.... Inotherwords... I would think that a 72 x 18 footprint would be much better than a 48x24... Unless you already have the tank.

The width and length are really what matters; you'd need a footprint of around 6'x3' for life, as motoro can get pretty large. But 4'x2' would be fine to start with.
