Hey everyone, I'm new to this site and was told this was where to go to learn from great people about fish. Well I have 4 little Clarias batrachus and I noticed last night that one of them have a white bubble on top of its eye which made it look like if the eye was fogged out I thought it was blind at first his/her other eye is fine. I am not sure what to do now for him. can anyone tell me what is wrong with him how bad is it. I tried taking some pic but its hard since they move a lot hoping it shows something. thanks all

:welcome: to MFK!

I am not sure how it looks. Any clearer and closer shots? Has it been injured before?

Okay, I managed to zoom the pic better and can only assume from the looks of it, it seems injured. Do you have table salt with you? Please make sure it has NO yellow prussiate. Doesn't matter however if it is iodized. Use a teaspoon and dose salt one teaspoon per gallon. Be sure you DISSOLVE the salt as the clarias might react badly to salt grains. It is easily done by stirring in cup of water until completely dissolved. Treat the fish separately and make sure your water parameters are favorable for the fish.

Not that I know of due to injuries. very hard to take a clear shot of it since so small. I looked closer at it last night and saw that it look like there is a white layer on top of eye, and i can still kind of see the black pupil under it where the white layer was not on

would aquarium salt work as well?

and how long should I keep the Clarias seperated
Aquarium salt is fine. Keep it there for at least a week or until it completely recovers.
