Hello All,

I've been poking through the forums of MFK for months and decided to finally join you guys. I'm a big fan of (obviously) cichlids and love the learn from all of you experienced people. I look forward to participating is community.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am currently only running 1 main setup.

I have a 100 gallon with baby (1-2") Motas, that weird "pelvic-finless" Freddy, red devil and Grammode.

I also have a 30 gallon that I usually use as a grow out or hospital tank. I currently have a juvie F1 CR dovii (male I think) that I'm growing out for a friend until he gets his tank running.

I did have some Beani not long ago. I fed them vegetable matter and kept them in the main tank with the aforementioned tankmates. I believe beani are supposed to be housed individually, but the size of the tank and small tankmates should have been ok (IMO). They still decided to get bloat and die anyway. I read several articles about care for beani, and they were initially doing awesome...up until they got sick and died.

So, that's what I am keeping. Sorry for the long story.
