Hello. I have been researching tons since my first aquarium a couple of years ago. I am starting all over now. I have 2 aquariums (240 g and 20g). I am a big fisherman, hunter, and most things outdoors. I also have 3 dogs (german shepard (working), Dogue de Bordeaux, and a Shih Tzu). I love the fish hobby as challenging as it can be, I find it rewarding. I am fascinated with the more agressive fish. I currently as of this morning (on my doorstep) added 2 mono peacock bass and 2 silver arowana. I have had pacu in the past and actually gave them to a lady that donated them to seaworld San Diego, which is better than what is the common and dumping them into the local fisheries. I hope in the next couple of year build my own aquarium of at least 500 gallons. Materials are a little pricy but from all my research does not appear to be too difficult. Anyways, really looking forward for answers to my questions and advice that I can get from this forum.. Happy Fishing!

500 gallons is huge... Have you thought of what fishes and other stuff to put in? I would love to have such a huge tank but I am in public housing and the flooring would not be able to withstand the weight. How envious!

welcome ... to mfk.. looking forward to seeing the tank for sure.....but love to see the dog pics too.. we even have a dog forum...so please post up some pics there..
