Hey, everyone, just wanted to introduce myself to the forums, I have just caught the monster fish craze, and have been keeping both fresh and saltwater reef aquaria for 10 years. I've been a member of cichlid forum and reef central, for quite some time, and can't wait to see what monster fish has to offer..

well here goes my question...
I would like to keep a medium sized catfish, in my south american cichild tank, and have recently developed an itch to get myself a catfish

I currently have a 40 breeder, with a extra 180, and an extra 240 available. I'm not quite looking for the giant varieties, Red Tailed Cats, ect, but something that will eventually feel at home in a larger North American Tank. Any suggestions

I'm looking for a few different options
your expierence with these catfish, and possibly some pictures.
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

bullheads are good, and can take care of themselves. They are pretty aggressive especially towards other catfish, but not to top dwellers. They get bigger than most people think though with most species getting over 20". Limas too can reach over 20". I have one that is almost 2 years old and pushing 16.5". Sun, or solar cats come to mind and are really awesome looking. Kinda like a mini golden RTC.
