And love my Tortoises so I guess I can dig up info and show off my little Cherry head here to!
Ill have to take some pics of him once he gets out of his burrow.

Hes 1 Year old and I made him a Enclosure in my room.
I used Coconut Wood or Eco earth? Forgot the name already, He seems to enjoy it.
I'm thinking of Build a miniature Pen in my Room that is Half Under my bed and Half out of it, So he can have shade and Also Sun (I live upstairs by the window so He gets plenty of it.
For materials what would be a good idea? (Ive had a couple people tell me The material they use to make wooden Floors) Any blue prints or suggestions?

Also for the hide I put a plastic little box then Got the Coconut bark wet and spread it around it so its dark and no light goes through. Also plants hanging down by the entrance to give more of a Bush/Hole feeling

Any ideas?

Sorry about my english, Im a transfer student from Japan and probably been speaking english for about 6 years now

This is a post i made a wille ago;)
Very rewarding torts to keep:D I dont have them at the moment (insted I have a male yellow head tortoise wich is filling a huge terrarium in the basement:grinno:) but know several people that own them. The keys for good keeping is like in most tortoises a large habitat(even cherrys must have at least a 5 foot terrarium;)), a constantly moist and warm evoirement(day temps in the 26-28C with 32c basking spot and 25c during the nigth), a large but shallow warm water conteiner, a good deco(large peaces of cork for hidding, coconut fiber bedding material, fake plants, a smood rock here and there) and a fiber rich diet(60-70% dark leafy vegetables and other greens, green beans, butter nut cabage, water cress, green kale, mustard greens, chycory greens, collard greens, turnip greens, spineless Opuncia, Hibiscus, dandilions, etc, along side 40-30% fiber rich fruit like figs, mango ,papaya, bananas, grapes, etc). Also the habitat must be a "closed" one that is it must build in a green house kind of thing, as oposed to a open habitat like a tortoise pen wich is better for grassland species
