Greetings and salutations,
Hey guys/gals i'm posting for the first time so just want to introduce myself...I live in the dalls, tx area now. Have been keeping fish for about 5 to 6 yrs now. Planning on setting up a new tank soome probably a 75 gal, but nothing less tham a 55 gal. Looking to get some fish other than the regular Petsmart stock and that's what led me to find this site, it came up a lot while I was doing my research. Anyway think this is enough chatter for a introduction.
Also I've hearing good things about the SunSun canister filters..does anyone have one, would apreciate any insight.
Peace and one love

hi i am also new i would give you some fish i have breeded convicts africans and red devils got some fry of red devils right now over 40 so just saying hi and wow is texas hot? i heard its nice all year round there i live in wisconsin

Welcome to the forum!

If I can make a small recommendation...if you stick it out on this site, you will wish you went bigger :D. A 125 or 150 offers a lot of wiggle room and a lot of stocking options. Look at craigslist, shop around for good deals on tanks. If you decide to buy new, ask for a discount (or if the shop can do any better) if you buy tank, stand, filter, etc all at once. What sort of fish do you anticipate keeping?

Wow..free fish !!! Thats love. ..I would love to have them.. and yeah its HOT!!!! out here .. alllll the time even when it rains. Hve'nt been here but a couple weeks ..heard that the winters a could..but i've been to WI in the winter and I dought it will get to -4 down here. Agian I really appreciate the offer of fish. Just unpacked the 20 gal (that's the only tank i brought with me out here). Well let me know.

Welcome to MFK! You will definitely find a variety of fishes here that you won't see at your Petsmart/PETCO. There are lots of community vendors that you can order fish from, or you can get stocking ideas by perusing the forums. Most of the fishkeepers here pride themselves on having large and/or interesting species, and many are cichlidophiles. Clicking on the "New Posts" tab will give you a steady stream of popular and new threads, as well as a general grasp of what people discuss here.

II dont feel comfortable listing the type of fish I kept on the public board...but I will say that they were S.American and mean...Thnks for the welcome guys..and I have been checking on craigslist as you suggested ... just need to get settled..spent a lot of money moving out here.

welcome to mfk.. nice to meet you,.enjoy MFK..any questions ?, Do not hesitate to ask..always here to help if you need it...hello.gif
