Hey guys,
I've got an empty 240g and was wondering which species of piranha you would put in the tank, i'm thinking about a single blue diamond rhom but i can't make my mind up. If i was to go with the rhom would i be able to keep tetras with it. Another option would be a shoal of caribe or ternetzi.

Another questions is do adult rhoms still have the blue spangles or do they end up a dull greyish black.

Any other set-ups you guys can come up with would be interesting to hear about.

if u got a 240g stick a big shoal or Caribe or Piraya in it thats what i would do or one 10" plus blue diamond be badazz:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

shoal of Piraya!!!!

1 piraya

4 caribe

4 ternetzi

3 red bellies

thats what i would do and really pimp out the filtration (really big sump and big canister)

i would go with a shoal of pgyos, caribes are awesome.
a solo piranha in such large tank can be boring, especially when you are new to piranha.
you can try to put tetra in the tank but my 11.5" diamond would charge towards a 1" zebra danio so some of your tetras may live some may get eaten.

Thanks for the replys,
To filter the tank i have got 2 ehiem pro 3e's, would this be adequate or would i need to get another.
Out of the caribe & piraya which looks the nicest when fully grown?
Also I really like the look of diamond rhom's and i can get a 10" so i'm not writing that idea off yet.
Any more ideas about stocking would be great, if there are any other species that you like the look of let me know, some pictures would be good just to let me get an idea of what the adults look like.

Another question about tankmates, i've seen somewhere on here that someone is keeping 2 wolf fish with piranha, i'm guessing that this is a 1 off, but does anyone else have this combo or had it?

Keeping a Wolf fish together is never a good idea. Too aggressive, unless given a very large tank. I have seen wolf fish kept with RB Piranha before.
