Wanten to get a puffer I don't know what to get (type) or what size tank to keep them in what tempature to keep tank at was wondering or to decorate the tank like please inform me about this and if u all could put pics up of your puffer and tank that would be great!!!! Thanks!!!!

DO not go with a GSP, Green Spotted Puffer, Tetraodon nigroviridis. For your first one. Get something FW(Fresh Water). They start Fresh and go marine or marine-like when they get older. My largest puffer has been very forgiving to me and my lack of experience with BW(Brackish Water). They eat alot of stuff I eat ! Just a different lets say Race. Shrimp, Crabs, Snails(i do not eat), Mussels, Clamps, Oysters, ETC... From what people on Yahoo.com and Google.com have to say, I would get a RED eye, Red Tail, MBU, Fahaka... Something FW. But then again. I love my GSP's. I also have 6 Dwarf indian puffers in a 30gal tank to them selves. Very easy to take care of. Just my .02 cents.

Huh? What was that again?

That was really confusing, are you looking for a new puffer or giving un-experienced keepers advise?

Not trying to be rude, just trying to understand your post?

Lets first work out what type of puffer are you looking for and what is the largest size tank you are willing to put a single fish into?

Do you want a lurker, hunter, fresh/brackish/salt?

Wanten to no what type to get want one that's full of personality and I'm willing to put one in a 55 for a while then move it to my 125 if needed want a freshwater just wanten to no suggestions on puffers and what to keep em in and what to make the tank look like

A 125g would be the bare minimum for an adult fahaka for life...

Or if you dont mind trimming teeth, you could do a group of south american puffers in the 125G

Decoration would be things like driftwood / rocks / And possibly plants like anubias

What size tank do u recomend for a mbu and whitch one do u all like better a mbu or fahaka and how fast do both of these fish grow?

To the OP, regarding MBU tank size there is an ongoing debate on tank size... Some say 300-400G is enough for an adult, and others like myself would say around 800G+ for an adult MBU

Which one is a better fish? Well that depends on which fish you personally like the look of more, an MBU or a fahaka?
