Accidentally posted this in the freshwater ray forum didn't know about this one new to the site.
I've recently been doing a lot of research on keeping salt water stingrays and am seriously considering getting into the hobby and had a few questions about my plans so far that I could use some information on.
I'm looking at getting a 240 gallon tank dimensions are 72"x24"x30" the 24" being the width which I've heard might be to small for rays. I'd like to get two california rays ideally, and a few other compatible fish added in.
What fish would work well with these stingrays?
I have no plans of jumping into this hobby and being unprepared. I am on a budget but am willing to wait if I have to so I can do things just as they should be. I was also wondering if anyone had any good ideas when it comes to searching for a suitable tank, so far craigslist has been my best friend for that but maybe you guy have other options?
I guess I'm really just wondering as far as stingrays go what can I do with a tank that size. There's a lot of different information online it can be kind of confusing.
Appreciate any help thanks.
