ok i got a 55 and some salt water equipment from a trade in, right now ive got a 15 gallon sump and a really big protein skimmer runnin with fresh water but i need aq power head equivelent too 1100 gph i havent seen them in stores and dont know where to get one, another thing is, what is the salinity that i need my tank to be to add live sand and live rock???

sorry it is the rio 1100, and is frshwater fine to just add sea salt???

yeah, but if your planning on doing corals i would recommend adding RO water instead of plain tap water. if your not doing corals then keep an eye on your nitrate and phosphate levels so you dont get alot of algae growth. this unwanted algae growth will make alot of work for you. RO water isnt hard to get from an LFS store but it comes with a cost. getting your own RO/DI water will soon pay itself off. they are easy to setup but i would still have a plumber or someone with some know how set it up for you. just my .02 on the subject.
