New to Sumps

hi guys ive just joined mfk seems like a very interesting site .also im thinking of making a sump for my 6x2x2 how many litres should my sump be? would be appreciative for any feed back.

My general rule is 1/3 of the volume of the main tank.
There's lots of good stickies.
Several strategies repeat themselves because they've worked.

Be sure to allow enough room, _above_ operating level, for the run off if the power goes out.

I use a 55g sump on my 190g... works great... I would say anything larger than 1/4 of the tank size.
