ok so over the next yr i wanna convert the 150 gal in my room to a reef tank so all advice would be great what are some things that u didnt do and it turned out badly for u?? i want to set it up so it doesnt need water changes how would i go about that?? i plan on running a sump with large refium uv protein skimmer maybe even a deltec nitrate filter

i learnt that if you don't go cheap, you will be fine
but if you go cheapo, you won't
be prepared to put a lot of cash onto this

ive read of people who have bigger tanks that eventually stop doing water changes. they ALL have had great filtration systems and the tanks were VERY VERY established... now im kinda of a salt newb but thats what ive read. My uncle has a very nice established tank and does min. water changes. its been up for years now though, and doesnt have big bioload.

how big off a bio load does corals and aneomies put on a system cause there only be a few small fish manly coral

not much at all.. it mostly depletes things.. calcium, other elements, it'll even filter a few small particulates out of the water

ok best advice I can give.
Don't start a reef. It will cause sleepless nights and excessive amounts of $$$ loss.
