Just thought that I would say hello to all the members.
Right now I am running a 135 gal FW on a fluval FX5. the tank is lightly planted with 15 or so plants for low light conditions. Housed in it are around 80 or so tetras and 4 angels.

What I would like to do is get a predator in there to reduce the numbers naturally and eventually turn the tank into a species only tank. I do not want to remove any of the plants and would like to have a predator that is not a glutton or one that will totally destroy my plants.

Could someone recommend a good predator to do this, in terms of size of the predator that I am looking for, I would like it to start out small and reach a max size of no more than 12" as I do not want to have to get a larger tank down the road.

Any advice would be appreciated.

yeah borrow my caribe that will sort them out with in a week thats not the best way why cant you take them to a local fish shop sell them give em away etc etc

I could do that, but I live in a small town and the LFS are not that apt to take fish back as they do not have the space.
I have some friends whom I can give some of the fish to, ie the angels and the bigger ones but the others...well, they can meet my predator fish.
sounds sadistic, but it is natural.
