Hello all!
New to the forum and wanted to say Hi (HI!!!) as I have recently gotten back into the Aquarium scene. I have had aquariums in my life as far back as I can remember thanks to my mom having a community tank from an early age to when she got me my first ten gallon. I then bought a 29...then a 55, then two 55's then I bought 10 20gal for Angel breeding back in the day when there was a massive die off of most stock back in the 80's (86 maybe?) I recently sold off all my larger fish that I have had for years (3x 16"+ silver tip black sharks, a couple huge tinfoil barbs and some others) and decided to go back to a community tank/planted tank (due mostly in part to my good friend who started the company pfertz) when one of my customers offered me some Angels that she had as she was reducing her stock. Well, the Angelfish bug has bit! I have once again started breeding and as a start (practice or trying to remember the steps I guess you could say) I am breeding some gold marbles that she gave me. I already have one batch of fry free swimming about 14 days old and eating brine shrimp very well and just had another pair spawn this morning. YAY! lol! I am also currently raising black veils and blue platinums up to breeding size/age. I am currently looking for some good Koi Angels if anyone knows of a local breeder here in Az. Most of the ones in the pet stores around here are basically gold marbles with a touch of red to the head and very bland. If anyone has any information on some good koi Angel stock, (Including sites that sell and ship) please let me know!
