hi i am new to the site and looking for any advice on red bellied pirhana, i have 2 and have had them for 6 weeks, need general advice what about feeding pellets i noticed they do not fed when there is too much light so i have fitted filters, they would not eat lance fish or shrimp only bllodworm, i have noticed a gold stripe along their spines is this normal, any advice will be great ta to all and any frankie :WHOA: :grinyes:
 
my rbp's love frozen beef heart. how big are they? tank size? pics?
 
Alright mate, ive only just started keeping red bellys as well. Ive had mine for about 2 months...maybe a bit longer, ive just fed them on blood worm for now but now there gettin bigger I just pop lance fish in with the bloodworm and they take it no probs, kind of like weening them over to new food! Mine dont like the heads tho haha!
 
Mine eat live fish, pellets, shrimp, krill ... pretty much whatever I throw in there. I dont think any of mine have a gold stripe though.
