Well I just registered on MFK and it won't let me post anywhere else, so I guess I will introduce myself and my tanks! =)

My name is Patrick and I live with my aquarium-loving girlfriend in Port Matilda, PA. We are avid lovers of fish and find them to be fascinating creatures.

29 - 7" florida gar (Reptar) and 5" red tiger oscar (Kouder) aggressive tank in progress
29 - 6" butterfly koi (Spock), 4" Ryukin goldfish (Groucho), 4" common pleco w/ no name, 5" weather loach (Cujo), 7" peacock eel (Ava), 3 otos and a siamese algae eater
20 - 3" Chinese banded shark (Zuch), 2 otos, siamese algae eater, 4 gold tetras, and 5-7 guppies (they breed so much it is hard to keep up LOL) This is a cold water tank (68 degrees F).

Anyways, those are our tanks. Leave me some feedback if you all can think of anything to improve them. =)

your gana need some bigger tanks haha but welcome to the MFK

Oh yeah....they will all be moved into much, much larger tanks! =) They are pretty much just babies right now.

View attachment 479496Welcome to mfk........ you should be able to post... let me know... you need 5 posts to start a thread though... so maybe that is what is holding you back.. lounge and intro and classified do not count toward post count.. any questions about the forum just ask me...

Not right now. My digital camera is on the frits. I will post pics of the future monsters as soon as I get my camera fixed. LOL I am trying to sell my gar, so I had to borrow a friend's camera to get those pics up.

LOL Well I eventually plan to reduce my monsters to just a few...like Zuch and Kouder. I'm trying to sell the gar and gain a flagtail. Once I can reduce my freshwater monsters down to about a 200 gallon tank, I will have a couple of saltwater tanks. That is my ultimate goal. Having and raising freshwater fish will give me some experience to help handle saltwater tanks. My profession is a marine biologist, so I have more of an affinity for saltwater fish anyways (I find them to be vastly more colorful and in some cases have more colorful personalities). But I love my oscar already. I have had him for an entire 4 days and he seems so have such a bright and vibrant personality. =)
