My name is Phillip. I currently have 2 tanks one is down. I am running a 90 gal for the moment. I have a 200gal in the wall. It was doing great till I got an hair algae bloom and it took over my tank. I scrubbed the live rock every day finally just tore it down and I am starting over. Got to buy new sand, new rock, ect. I am also currently building a 4000gal. tank for reef only. my 180 will be a show tank.

This is my first post to MFK as well- just joined a few mins ago!
Saw you'd had a hair algae challenge; I feel your pain! After many weeks of tediously hand-picking strand by strand, I finally gave up and got an Abalone. Its took several weeks, but he ate up all the green hair algae and continues to cruise around keeping my 90 gal reef clean. Now I finally have coralline algae growing everywhere. I am by no means an authority; just passing on something that worked for me! Don
