New to this hobby going from a 25 gallon to a 75

Hi every body, I just recently got into fish keeping after getting my daughter some golfish. After quickly discovering that 2.5 gallons is not enough for 2 fancy gold fish we got a 25 g added some other fish and are now hooked ( well i am any way, wife thinks i am crazy).

last night I picked up a bare all glass 75 gallon tank and am in the process of setting it up as a cold water tank, lots of white clouds weather loches ect.

Down the road i would like to try some other fish and some planted tanks, but for now I am going one comunity tank.

wait intill you get your 550gal tank....then your wife will think your crazy!!!

welcome to MFK.. and hope you enjoy the site... thats nice that you took an interest with your daughter raising fish,. Every child should be so lucky..it teaches them so much and is a very nice hobby to relax to... looking forward to seeing your 75gal.. best of luck to you.. :D

Thanks, I am working on my light set up and sump at the moment, I want to build a timer system as well.

I found some tempered glass shelves under my crawl space ( cant remember what they are from) I am going to build a cover for the tank.
