I Would app aney help> Thank you.......

I have heard that breeding goldfish is tough but good luck.

You would have better luck breeding gold fish In a pond settting. Most common gold fish want bred in a tank setting. I said most { before I get jumped on here J/K } Some gold like the fanncy stran will breed in a tank setting. But as for feeders. The amount of work you would need to the tank { plants, water changes hatching the eggs, feeding the fry and waitting for them to get big enought to feed to your fish, It would be a lot cheaper just to go to the store and buy some. IMO

I had baby goldfish in my pond. They would breed at a size of only 2 and a half or 3 inches. And it wasn't that big of a pond either, something around 100 gallons. But there were many plants and roots and rocks for them to hide in.

If you have the pond the rest is fairly easy. Goldfish are easliy spawned, and yes, they are ALOT of work if done inside . The males will get "white pimples" on their gills indicating their readiness to span. I fed mine night crawlers from the garden and that help put them in breeding condition. The trick to the spawn is water temperature. They spawn outside when the season changes from winter to spring, opposite of Cory cats. The warm water triggers the spawning, and if you let nature take care of it outside , you'll end up with a pond full. They eat ALOT of mosquito larvae which makes them grow fast. MAke sure you have plenty of vegetaion for them to eat as they are domestic carp, and LOVE plant matter.

goldfish are the dirtiest fish you can have in my opinion if you have freshwater stick with the cichlid they are the coolest thats all i have in 3 aquariums
and prolly close to two grand invested ive put every penny i have in those tanks
