Hi guys, i bought 2 tomato clowns yesterday. i was very happy to see one of them was hosting my gbta when i woke up this morning. it seems she has some faint black marks on her sides? i dont know if i should be worried about this or not? i know i should of quarantined them, but they were the first fish additions to my tank. i dont know how well you can see it in the pictures. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't think there is an issue, just keep an eye on them and if they start showing signs of issues then udate us. In general "faint black marks" aren't any disease or parasite that I can think of. So like I said keep an eye on them if there are any changes then let us know.

thanks, im sure they will be fine. will keep a close on them for the next couple weeks. Thanks!

From the pictures you provided, they look great and right at home already. If you're calling that faint banding "the black marks on the sides", I wouldn't worry too much. From the pictures, nothing stands out to me as a potential issue. If you want specifics to keep a lookout for (to ease your mind when you don't see them ;) ) -- you can look for a dusty - "fuzzy/velvety" appearance on the skin where the "marks" are, any change in eating, swim patterns, general behavior, spreading of any "marks/dots/etc", raised scales, excess slime coating, ulcers or tearing of fins...
I wouldn't worry about those marks, they might just be the fish's natural markings - perhaps not a 100% "purebred?" LOL. All in all, they look great, color is awesome, body proportions are right on par, eyes are clear, mouth and fins are flawless and they seem settled right in. But I agree with Kevin, better safe than sorry.
