man i wish there was a apisto breeder in iowa. dude try some curviceps or the closely related dorsigerus which i think i got. they stay small and i love their actions its just like a big cichlid. and i kno for a fact that it will work. sure some fin nipping. but u might even be able to get them to breed. both the apisto's and the Laetacara. I have 3 in my dwarf tank with a small hrp and a crenicichla Compress...
