Just saw him at my lfs, $39, maybe a little steep, but I just fell in love with it hehe.

In a 29 gallon grow out atm, About 3.5 inches long with a hand full of convict fry. Heavily planted, but still has a lot of swimming room. Suggestions for a healthy diet for now and as it continues to grow?

I Know these get large and I'm now new to large with in large tanks lol.

just supply him with a large variety of food. Small feeders, small pellets, brine shrimp, black worms. The larger variety, the more nutrients, the faster they'll grow. Watch though, with a mouth like that he may eat your convict fry.

Well, he's already downed a few fry, point in them being there. As far a frozen I was thinking blood worms of course, small shrimp, as well as small feeders.

same food as listed above but be ready FOR A BIG FISH

Ah ok yea i wasnt sure if that was your reason for having the fry in there. But yea all that food sounds good, like i said, variety is key

Bloodworms, mysis shrimp, frozen market shrimp and scallops, earthworms
