i have fresh batch of red eared bellyslider eggs that were layed 6 days ago and i also rescued a partially eaten nest that i was lucky enough to find before the raccoon was done with them. luckily some were still buried and unturned. they are eather eastern box tutles or wood turtles. only time will tell. im going to dig them up today and incubate them safe from that raccoon. i will update later in the week with pictures and egg quantity. this will be the thread untill they hatch so stay tuned! =]

Sweet. Cannot wait for the update

okay so there are 10 of the red eared belly sliders and 4 of the smaller eggs which i am assuming are ether eastern box turtles or wood turtles. will probably be able to get pics in tomorow.

Photo of the mystery eggs?

Just so you know you guys have 3-toed Box Turtles, not Easterns in Texas. Also, Wood Turtles don't even live remotely near Texas so it's something else. They're from the NE Great Lake region of the US.

okay thanks fo the info. i wll get pics asap!

Here's the smaller ones with a quarter for size.

So does anybody have an idea of what they are?

They look like lizard eggs to me. Too small to be a turtle but I could be wrong. I say let the raccoon eat- it needs food too. If you do not know what they are then you are not qualified to care for them.

Well the racoon left one half open and I could see a turtle fetus. So I know they are turtles and judging from the fetus size they only have a week or two left. So I thought why not.
