Yeah, looking in my fish food pantry I don't know if I have anything small enough to feed them. Going to be interesting haha.
Just grind up larger fish pellets. I am always getting in trouble for using the coffee grinder to turn pellets into fry food.
I could not be happier! I way in the back corner I found Southern Delight cichlid formula mini pellets. I tossed a little in to see if they would eat. LITTLE PIGS. Before the pellets even hit the bottom of the tank they were all gobbled up.
They are constantly at the front of the tank and don't seem to be afraid of anything. I have them on the floor in a 40B that is painted black on 3 sides and I have black poster board underneath without running any lights. Once I have them consistently eating I'll put a light on and grab more pictures.

Just a little update. During my move from Pennsylvania to Virginia while loading the apartment I had my flowerhorn divided in the same tank as my uaru. In the night she took the divider down, ripped one of the little guys heads off and gouged out another's eye.
They are now doing fine in the grow out tank but not having an eye is costing the little guy. The others are much bigger than he is.
