I recently set up a 90 gal uniquarium. I am in the 3rd floor and the floor of the apartment is not level. When I filled up the tank, ita like 1/4 to a half inch more on the other side. The tank is acrylic. Is this safe? It is standing in a flat stand.
Pics are from one end to another. HELP!

You have to level the stand. Use wood shims or cardboard with a level. Empty the tank and shim the stand to the floor. Do not put the shims or cardboard between the tank and stand. When filling the tank back up keep the level on the top of the tank to make sure it's staying level as you fill it up.

Why not? That's what I used on my 180 gallon and its perfect. A tank that's not far out of level like the op's cardboard will be fine. If its out by a lot then I would use wood shims.

what happens if you spill water? wont the cardboard just go soggy rendering it useless? I am quite surprised cardboard wont go flat under a 180g O_o

I would leave the tank, but if you want it fixed a wooden shim or cement sheeting would be my go to, if cardboard works even better as thats nice and cheap!

I have no problems with mine. I spill very little water while doing W/C or whatever. I think that if your spilling that much water you will have more problems then just getting the cardboard wet. Especially if the tank is sitting on carpet.

If your going to do it do it right. I would not use cardboard, it will compress, wooden shims would be much better. Your best bet would be composite shims, they won't compress and you can break them off cleanly at the spot you need. Home depot has them, they work great.
